Privacy Policy

How we handle the little data we collect.

Who we are

Our website may be found at https://desiuncut.live.

To aid with spam detection, we gather the information provided in the comments form as well as the visitor's IP address and browser user agent string.

The Gravatar service may get an anonymised string (also known as a hash) derived from your email address to determine whether you are using it. You can access the Gravatar service privacy policy at https://automattic.com/privacy/. Your profile image appears in the context of your comment once it has been approved.

Media

You should refrain from uploading photos to the website that have embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Any location information from the website's photos can be downloaded and extracted by visitors.

Cookies

You can choose to have your name, email address, and website saved in cookies if you leave a comment on our website. These are for your convenience so that when you write another comment, you won't have to enter your information again. The shelf life of these cookies is one year.

To find out if your browser supports cookies, we will temporarily set a cookie if you visit our login page. This cookie is deleted when you close your browser and doesn't contain any personal information.

We will also set up a number of cookies to store your login credentials and screen display preferences when you log in. Screen settings cookies expire after a year, but login cookies expire after two days. Choosing "Remember Me" will keep your login active for two weeks. The login cookies will be deleted if you log out of your account.

Your browser will save an extra cookie if you modify or publish an article. This cookie only shows the post ID of the article you just updated; it contains no personal information. After one day, it expires.

Content from other websites that is embedded

Videos, photos, articles, and other embedded content may be used in articles on this website. The behaviour of embedded content from other websites is identical to that of a visitor who has visited the other website.

These websites may employ cookies, gather personal information about you, incorporate extra third-party tracking, and track how you engage with the embedded material. If you have an account and are logged in, they may also track how you interact with the embedded content.

With whom we share your information

Your IP address will be included in the reset email if you ask for a password reset.

How long we keep your information

Comments are saved indefinitely along with their information. This will allow us to automatically identify and approve any follow-up comments rather than keeping them in a moderation queue.

We also keep the personal data that users enter in their user profiles if they register on our website. Every user has the ability to see, amend, or remove their personal data at any time, with the exception of changing their username. The information is also visible to and editable by website administrators.

Which rights apply to your data?

You can obtain an exported file of the personal information we have about you, including any information you have given us, if you have an account on our website or have posted comments. You can also ask that any personal information we may have about you be deleted. This excludes any information that we are required to retain for security, legal, or administrative reasons.

Where your information is transmitted

An automatic spam detection tool may be used to review visitor comments.
